4 out of 5 - Aug 4, 2005
Grandmaster Woo Jin Jung has produced a seriously
informative book. He manages to include some excellent pieces
of advice that truly work, things you may never think of.
This book has something for everyone.
The book is made up of 11 chapters separated
into 3 parts: Taekwondo Sparring, Karate Sparring and The
competitive edge. Both the taekwondo and karate sections are
made up of 3 chapters titled: essentials, techniques and tactics.
I can assure you these chapters contain everything you would
expect from an excellent sparring book. The third part (The
competitive edge) is made up of 5 chapters: The focus, The
fitness, The Timing, The Arsenal and The programme. The Focus
and especially the programme chapter are exceptional. However
although the other 3 chapters in this part of the book are
also of a very high standard i feel they could have been further
developed.
No matter what belt or grade you are there is
definitely something in this book that will help you improve
your sparring.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK!
