| Ninjutsu,
perhaps the least understood martial art of Japan, is an ancient
fighting style emphasizing naturalness of movement, responsiveness
to one's adversary, and absolute practicality. In feudal Japan,
ninja were feared for their skill in espionage and
assassination. Masters of weaponry, stealth,
and martial techniques, ninja warriors were
often credited with supernatural powers because of the near-invincibility
of their unique and deadly art.

I've been highly interested recently in the
art of Ninjitsu and the history of Japan. I've read a few
things on the internet, but this was my first factual book
on the subject. And it's a perfect taster, leaving you wanting
to know lots more. Don't expect this to delve into highly
detailed descriptions of the art, but it's a great stepping
stone to your understanding. Great book for beginners, like
I said, a superb taster to the arts, especially in the spiritual
chapters. It made me realise quite a few things about myself,
and how I've changed after certain events in my life. Quite
short, but a great book to start off with. Read, understand,
enjoy.
