A brilliant book. If you are thinking of taking up this great art yhen this is for you. the book would really benefit a beginner but contains so much useful information that even advanced practitioners would find useful. The book is divided into the following chapters:

1 INTRODUCTION-HISTORY: equipment muay thai vs other martial arts

2 STRIKES AND DEFENCES: descriptions and illustrations of muay thai techniques. punches kicks knees elbows clinching and defences

3 TRAINING DRILLS- equipment work thai pad drills sparring drills footwork clenching drills focus mitts drills conditioning drills and much more. VERY comprehensive also includes combinations

4 ADVICE FOR NOVICE FIGHTER: for people preparing for their first fight. lots of tips including styles and strategies and muay thai self defence

5 BASIC CONDITIONING: over 30 callisthenic exercises lots of ab exercises and 6 routines all illustrated

6 WEIGHT TRAINING BASICS: lots of theory and training methods includes a section in minor injury treatment
