Now having moved up to yellow belt I can better
understand its content. I have regularly diped into this reference
in order to better understand the techniques and knowledge
my sensi has passed on in the dojo.
The book is all about Kihon (Fundamentals):
The generation of power using the hips, developing good stance,
the dynamics of moving and changing direction. The key points
of basic techniques and coordination.
The text is well supplemented with lots of clear
black and white photographs (a picture paints a thousand words).
There is no substitute for time spent in the
dojo or practicing your kata in the garage, however, IMHO,
time spent reading and absorbing the content of this book
WILL benefit you.
