I have recently purchased this dvd after renting
it on Amazon's most excellent rental scheme. It is a phenomenal
dvd - I have been studying martial arts a couple of years,
various types, and am not an expert by any means, but the
material on this dvd is fresh, practical and effective. The
simplicity behind the theory of the art Master Wong teaches
is very simple - however like all things requires practice.
But if you have a dedicated partner committed to learning
JKD (Master Wong Style) through practicing as you watch the
dvd you will find that rapidly the both of you will dramatically
increase in your standard and effectiveness. This art is incredibly
debilitating to an opponent, but also intuitive to pick up
and remember, hence how it will work in a street scenario.
You are always encouraged to keep it real whilst watching,
and never lose sight of reality. What I like is that it is
not designed for killing opponents but more for disabling
them just enough for you to escape. You are taught to quickly
do the business and then escape - that is unless you're doing
the Lock and hold dvd - another fantastic dvd.
That's the great thing about these dvds from
Master Wong. On their own they are thorough and complete,
but you soon find you can gain from and build on to each other
dvd like a computer add on. This basically adds up to a phenomenal
home learn course without having to pay for expensive lessons.
One of my two hour Krav Maga lessons was pretty much the cost
of one dvd, so they soon pay for themselves. What's more the
knowledge inside this dvd will save your life and if that's
not worth it, then nothing is.
