Street Fighting Moves - 4 Reasons to Attack the First Vital Area Versus Your Favorite First Strike

It is imperative that we get the concept that the first strike
is the most important strike after all negotiations have been exhausted
in the face of a street confrontation. Now comes the question, should
you always look to execute the preferred or the favorite first strike,
or should you execute whatever first strike that is available and
that you see that would be effective in that particular situation?
There are 4 reasons why you should always execute the most available
and the most effective first strike rather the preferred first strike.
The 4 Reasons To Attack The First Vital Area Versus Your Favorite
First Strike
Reason # 1 - Street Fighting Is Dynamic And You Can't Always
Predict In What Position The Opponent Will Be - Depending
on whatever the angle and position of your attacker, you may have
to use alternative preferred first strikes that will be as equally
as devastating and that will enable you to put momentum on your
side in order to be able to finish off the attack and end the threat.
Reason # 2 - There Should Never Be Any ONE Preferred First
Strike Technique - You should have at least 3 or 4 multiple
variations of effective preferred first strikes. Many of the expert
street fighting instructors that I know of utilize - foot stomps,
throat strikes, eye jabs and even throwing liquid and objects like
dirt and sand into the eyes as the first strike.
Reason # 3 - Your Distance And Your Environment Will Determine
What The First Strike Will Be - If you are in a corner
with your back to the wall, and an assailant has approached you
and is in your face, then the most obvious first strike in this
situation would be a sudden and ferocious head butt to the bridge
of his nose with the hardest part of your forehead, the part where
your forehead meets your hairline, which will cause your attacker's
eyes to water thus mess up his vision.
Reason # 4 - Street Fighting Is ALWAYS About Implementing
That Which Is Most Obvious And Logical For That Particular Situation
- This means, you must always execute that which is available
and will be most effective. It may include your favorite
first strike or it may not, but you must always adapt yourself to
what's before you in order to make your first strike the most effective
and the most devastating.
So, these are the reasons why you should always execute the available
first strike rather than waiting for the opening to apply your favorite
technique.
