Are you always lost in your thoughts? Did you
ever think about the fact that when a suspicious-looking character
walks into a bank carrying a rifle under his to-the-floor overcoat,
on a summer day that usually nobody seems to notice? Why would this
be? First of all, we have all unlearned our ability to stay in the
present moment. We appear to be constantly lost in our thoughts,
always thinking, worrying and planning for what must come next.
This modern-day malady of detachment from present moment reality
can be dangerous indeed when it comes to practicing situational
awareness when we are out and about in the real world of unpredictable
and spontaneous surprises of the unpleasant and dangerous kind.
In this final installment of our 3-part series, we will look at:
4 More Ways To Possibly Spot A Concealed Firearm
Possible Sign Of Weapon Concealment # 1 - There Is A Bulge
Under His Clothes In The Waist Area - Any unnatural or
unusual bulge anywhere around the line of the waist area is a call
for concerned and watchful wakefulness.
Possible Sign Of Weapon Concealment # 2 - There Is A An
Imprint Of The Gun Against His Clothing - Sometimes you
don't want to believe your eyes. Seeing a gun, a dangerous and deadly
weapon can be a cause for denial in some people. No time for that.
If you see an gun imprint under the clothes, you have seen the gun.
Possible Sign Of Weapon Concealment # 3 - His Pants And
Clothes Have Lots Of Bulky Pockets - Again, if the combination
of situational factors indicate that this could be a dangerous person,
him having bulky pockets which could conceal a weapon is not
a good sign.
Possible Sign Of Weapon Concealment # 4 - You HEAR The
Sound Of Metal, i.e, A Gun Clink Against Something Solid Like A
Door Frame Or Counter - If the suspect walks and clanks
a sound against something solid as his walks in the area of his
waistband, this could be a gun striking against the object. Remember,
"situational awareness" is one of your greatest weapons along with
your proactive self-protective mindset. For if you see a threat
coming, you can warn others of it, avoid it and/or respond to it
if you have to.
