Ninja - The Shadow Warriors of Japan

The very name installed fear and trepidation into the hearts of thousands of Japanese, their tales of superhuman and supernatural acts of bravery sent a shiver down the spine of those that spoke the name and even to this day, the Ninja is portrayed as an awesome and sometimes sinister assassin with no mercy and no morals.

The Ninja warriors of Japan were legends and shrouded in mystery made icons by Hollywood.

These individuals were men and women of skill and training who led a very spiritual and mysterious way of life, governed by an ancient and moral code in both life and death, experts in Unarmed combat, weaponry, intelligence and espionage.

The basis and growth of all martial arts in some way derived from the samurai and the Ninja, the oldest living and most lethal art in the world - over 1200 years old and as many as 9 different schools of teaching from bone breaking, muscle damage and esoteric spiritual refinement. This is the real Mind Body and Spirit way of life governed by spiritual law. There are many other martial arts in the world but none as old and as evolved as the Bujinkan.

The art is a way of life and those that choose to take this path often find themselves on a journey of self discovery through time, space and dimensions. The Bujinkan is now a world wide organization the brain child of Dr Massaki Hatsumi the 34 Grandmaster of Ninjutsu and a Japanese national treasure.
