In Brazilian Jiu Jitsu techniques, the arm bar is defined as a
technique that isolates and hyper-extends the elbow. This technique
is also known as 'juji gatame', this position is executed by hyper-extending
the elbow and holding the opponent's arm between your legs with
the wrist held close to the chest.
The transition of the Arm-Bar is the guard position with a slight
solid hold. In this solid hold position, use an arm-bar to the opponents
right arm. Followed by this position the opponents right arm is
taken to the right side and secured just above the elbow with the
right hand. Then place the left hand on the opponents left shoulder
with the arm under their chin. With this position one has to pull
the opponent down slightly. Uncross the legs while using the closed
guard position, and put the right foot on the ground. In this arm
bar position put all the weight on your right foot and left shoulder.
Further swing your hips out to the right and create the space that
is required for the position. In the next position of arm bar place
the left foot on your opponent right hip by putting weight on your
left foot and right shoulder. In order to be in a sideway position
to the opponent, swing the hips out to the left side. Next swing
your left leg under the opponents neck. If the opponent tries to
put their head down, simply push their chin up with your left forearm.
